The gears are in motion on HBO’s Game of Thrones and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. Who will remain standing at the end is yet to be seen. Only one thing is definite, no one is going to escape this show unscathed. This week’s episode, “Second Sons”, focuses largely on the wedding of Tyrion Lannister to Sansa Stark. But we are not left without glimpses into what’s happening in other parts of the world.

Arya, now the captive of The Hound is about to try and kill the man while he sleeps to make her escape, only to be thwarted and to learn that The Hound has every intention of taking the youngest Stark girl back to her mother. Gendry, having been taken to the court of King Stanis in Dragonstone finds exactly what the Red Lady wants with the power in his blood. Sansa, as stated, is married to Tyrion and it is heartbreaking to watch the halfman attempt to make her comfortable while she rebuffs his kindnesses. Cercei and Margaery engage in a bit of verbal chess, like two queens trying to determine who is going to be in control of the king. And that dragonglass dagger Sam found at the Fist of the First Men, he ends up having to use it on one of the White Walkers with startling results. Daenerys meanwhile has besieged the Yellow City and now negotiates with the captains of the sellswords defending it. Her beauty proves too much for one though and he kills his comrades and presents her with their heads, poising her for yet another victory. Not seen this episode were Jon Snow, Rob or Kat Stark, Bran and company, or Theon Greyjoy. With only two episodes left, we can hardly wait to see the next one because there most certainly has to be another Blackwater Bay styled episode coming up.
